With the release on Thursday afternoon of a Public Notice, the Media Bureau of the FCC formally commenced the 2022 Quadrennial Review of the Commission’s media ownership rules. Accordingly, the Bureau seeks comment, by law, on whether the media ownership rules presently in place remain “necessary in the public interest as the result of competition.”
