It’s a Classic Hits brand comprised of a Class A FM at 92.1 MHz in Sanford, Me., a Class D AM at 1450 kHz in Exeter, N.H.; and a pair of FM translators in New Hampshire bringing “Seacoast Oldies” to listeners near the Squamscott River and the beaches stretching along lower Maine’s coast.

Soon, they’ll be in the hands of the second-largest FM station licensee in the U.S. And, there’s a good chance “KLOVE” will be coming.

WXEX-AM & FM and W246BP at 97.1 MHz in Exeter and W298CU at 107.5 MHz in Chester are being sold by Port Broadcasting to Educational Media Foundation.

EMF is paying the Pete Falconi-led Port Broadcasting $690,000. A $34,500 deposit is being held by escrow agent J. Bradford Murray of JBMedia Radio Consulting & Brokerage.

With David Oxenford serving as the legal counsel of record, as has been the case for years, for EMF, Allan G. Moskowitz is the legal counsel representing the seller.

Port is also the owner of WWSF-AM 1220 and W282CS at 104.3 MHz in Sanford, Me., in addition to two stations in Bangor, Me.

WXEX were brought into Port by partner Andrew Hartmann in December 2016, from his Aruba Capital Holdings.
