In October 2015, William M. Graham and his 2B Productions agreed to purchase a 1kw Class D non-directional AM radio station serving a city to the immediate northeast of Charlotte. He paid $65,000 for what was then-known as WTIX-AM, using call letters long associated with a popular Top 40 station in New Orleans.
Today, the AM is known as WEGO-AM and has enjoyed the use of an FM translator to help bring “Memories” to cities such as Kannapolis and Concord, N.C.
As of today, that FM “revitalization” tool is now in the hands of the second-largest licensee of FM radio stations in the U.S.
