IBA Wraps Up First Members-Only Conference

The Independent Broadcasters Association (IBA) presented its first IBA Members-Only “In-Focus” Conference on Wednesday at the Intercontinental at Doral in Miami, ahead of today's start of the two-day Radio Masters Sales Summit presented by Streamline Publishing and the Center for Sales Strategy. The inaugural one-day event drew attendees from across the country, representing more than 500 radio stations owned and operated by independent broadcasters.

Starting January 1, 2023, Skyview Networks will serve as the ad sales partner for the longtime Adult Contemporary and Hot AC-focused syndicated radio program hosted by Charlotte-based Bob Lacey and Sheri Lynch. Network Audio Sales for "Bob & Sheri" will be fully handled by Skyview, with access to digital and podcast opportunities included in the ad sales partnership.

They rule the roost in wake-ups at Beasley Media Group's Active Rocker WRIF-FM in Detroit. They're also heard at the company's WRXK "96 KRock" in Fort Myers-Naples; WPBB "98.7 The Shark" in Tampa-St. Petersburg; and at WBOS-FM in Boston. Now, non-Beasley stations have access to Dave & Chuck the Freak, thanks to a syndication agreement that has just been finalized.

Puerto Rico Media Overcomes Severe Storm Damage from Fiona

As of Monday morning, nearly 70% of LUMA Energy customers were still in the dark due to damage caused by Hurricane Fiona, which made landfall in Puerto Rico on Sunday. According to El Nuevo Día, more than 778,000 lack safe drinking water due to filtration plant issues linked to flooded rivers. Despite all of the problems, nearly all of Puerto Rico's broadcast radio and television stations remain on the air.
