In a deal brokered by Kalil & Co., Long Communications LLC on April 24 closed on its sale of a UHF television station in the Charlotte DMA. At the time, the Long family confirmed its radio property would see no changes. That's not entirely true.

In early February, RBR+TVBR reported on the dissolution of a partnership that saw two individuals join to form Fusion Radio LLC. One month later, one of the FM translators owned by that entity was sold. On Thursday, the deal officially closed.

An FM translator serving communities in South Broward and North Miami-Dade Counties in Florida is being sold. It is presently being used to offer "revitalization" to an AM that is home to a Portuguese-language format serving Brazilians.

An AM/FM combo in Miami that reaches nearby cities in Kansas and Missouri is being sold. That's Miami, Okla., of course. And, the deal is "Taylor Made" for the buyer, Michael Landis.

It is a future FM radio station serving the seat of Kimble County, Tex., nestled along the Llano River some 120 miles to the northwest of San Antonio. When it begins broadcasting, it will do so under a new owner, pending FCC approval.

As of now, it is a student-run radio station at Columbus Career & College Academy in tiny Whiteville, N.C., between Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Lumberton, N.C., a popular halfway point for drivers between Florida and New York. Pending FCC approval, however, this Class C2 FM will be joining the North Carolina Public Radio family.

Its past includes ownership stints under Barnstable Broadcasting and, later, Davidson Media Group. It has served Hampton Roads' Hispanic community since February 2005. Now, an AM and its FM translator are being sold. But, listeners shouldn't expect any change in programming.

Go north of Payson and east of Cottonwood, Ariz., across Interstate 17, and you'll reach an unincorporated area of Coconino County that's home to an unbuilt radio station.  Once the station gets on the air, it'll be under a new owner, pending FCC approval.

A little AM radio station made famous by Clint Eastwood for its central role in the classic film Play Misty for Me in the 2010s added an FM translator to give it a bit of "revitalization" as it focused on serving Carmel, Calif. Now, The Heidi McKay Marital Trust, operator of KRML Radio, is spinning the FM translator. It's a very "relevant" deal.
