The owner of non-commercial educational FMs in Miamitown and Waynesville, Ohio, offering a unique take on Classic Rock is agreeing to obtain another non-commercial FM — a Class A facility serving the Miami Valley communities of Oxford and Hamilton. It sees the rare conversion of a religious FM to a rocker.

Since 2005, he's been the Chairman of a radio broadcasting company comprised of 27 full-power stations and four FM translators in South Dakota, Minnesota, Colorado, Kansas and Nebraska. Pending FCC approval, Terry Shockley, along with business partner Chris Bernier, will be growing its stable by acquiring a collection of stations in Wisconsin.

A pair of Class A FMs serving Chillicothe, Ohio, are being sold. Pending FCC approval, Gerald E. Davis will be saying goodbye to the stations, as well as an AM with an FM translator.

With Greg Guy of Patrick Communications serving as their broker, the stations are being spun to a fast-growing Michigan-based operator committed to providing information without political commentary to viewers on its own properties.

In 1995, the very first GSM for "Z100" in New York, later a VP/GM of the station under Malrite Communications, began buying radio stations. Today he's the owner and President of Equity Communications of Atlantic City, N.J. Now, Gary Fisher has found a buyer for another FM along the Jersey Shore, thanks to Kalil & Co.

Until falling silent under an STA, an FM translator serving Mena, Ark., provided local residents coverage of KUAF-FM 91.3, the booming 100kw NPR Member station serving Fayetteville. Now, the FM translator is poised to be reborn, as it is being sold to a non-secular broadcast entity.

In March, RBR+TVBR was first to report on the second attempt by licensees associated with Bert Kaufman to spin a pair of St. Louis-market AMs to a new buyer, following a non-consummation with another party. Not included in the transaction was one of two FM translators included in the failed 2019 deal. Now, Kaufman has found a party willing to acquire one of those two mini FMs.

James Chladek, CEO of New York City-based All Broadcast Access Inc., is relinquishing a low-power television station on Florida's Atlantic Coast to a small Hispanic broadcast group based in Miami. And, if you're familiar with local politics, you'll know the buyer.

It's a tiny Southern Gospel AM radio station serving a community in Kentucky to the northeast of Clarksville, Tenn. Pending FCC approval, it will soon be operated under new ownership.

A pair of FM radio stations in Indiana is being sold by The Power Foundation. The buyer is a Hoosier State-based broadcast ministry, who will put their own spin on religious programming on the stations.

“I put 103.1 on the air, May 7, 1979,” Gerald Hunt Sr. said a little more than a decade ago. “I sold 103.1, which was WJHR at the time… April 1, 1983 and bought it back 10 years to the day.” Today, that station is WMXX-FM, and it is a sibling to three other radio stations and an FM translator in Tennessee that are being involuntary transferred, as Hunt has passed away.

A Richmond AM radio station largely focused on Black Gospel shows and music is being sold. The buyer is a major broadcast ministry, one that may not continue the current programming on this Class D facility.

The October 2022 sale of a Spanish-language radio station serving audiences in Bridgeport, Conn., has just closed. It saw Dick Kozacko of Kozacko Media Services represent the buyer in this transaction.

As 2018 began, the Delmarva Peninsula media company led by Craig Jahelka secured a cluster of radio stations comprised of three FMs and one AM station. Now, one of those AM stations is being spun.

On August 5, 2021, a LMA was forged that gave News Talk STL Radio the right to operate a Class C3 FM serving a rural portion of the St. Louis DMA. Now, News Talk STL Radio is exercising its option to acquire the facility.
