In June 2022, RBR+TVBR reported on the acquisition of three FM radio stations serving Elko, Nev., by an individual who enjoyed a 19-year stint as a production director and “Arrow 93.1” air talent at KCBS-FM in L.A., today “JACK FM.” Now, Rich Hudson and his Global One Media, which paid $1 million for the trio, have a crosstown competitor with a new owner, pending FCC approval.

As of today, Educational Media Foundation's KLOVE network reaches Kokomo, Ind., via WIKL-FM 101.7 in Elwood. Now, EMF is making move that will allow it to better serve a city with a name likely best known for a song from The Beach Boys.

On Tuesday, Results Radio completed its sale of an FM radio station serving the Sacramento market. While broker Kalil & Co. did not release the purchase price for the FM, it is now known.

An 89-watt FM translator serving La Grande, Ore., and neighboring towns such as Union in a rural portion of Eastern Oregon, is trading hands. The buyer? It's the group led by Randy and Debra McKone.

It's a Class A FM offering a simulcast of an AM bringing Classic Country programming to the Odessa, Tex., area. Soon, that simulcast could come to a close.  Why? The FM is being sold.

It's a Class A FM serving the home of Penn State University where "The Message is in the Music." Pending FCC approval, that broadcast mission will remain in place. However, the entity operating the station via a LMA since late February would become the new owner.

Among the many stations that are presently a part of The LifeFM Network is a Class B AM with 25kw during daylight hours from 1 tower and 500 watts at night from two towers. Importantly, it has "FM revitalization" courtesy of an FM translator serving Hendersonville, N.C. With the FCC's approval, the facilities will be heading to a new owner.

Over the last several years, colleges and universities with student-run FM radio stations have opted to sell them rather than keep them as an expense. For Centenary College of Louisiana, a non-commercial, educational FM radio station programmed and operated by the students of this Shreveport, La.-based higher education institution, not owning the Class A FM has been determined to be is in its best interests.

The late John Walton, who partnered with Steve Johnson's for "Walton & Johnson," has been the owner of Excel Media, licensee of a 50kw Class C2 FM featuring southern Rock n' Roll and targeting the Beaumont-Port Arthur, Tex. market. Pending FCC approval, this "Free" FM will be getting a full dose of "love."

In Northern Nevada, the city of Reno is bordered by the municipality of Sparks. Here, a low-powered television station is trading hands. The buyer is none other than the licensee behind the NewsNet digital multicast network that is busily acquiring its own stations, building an array of O&O properties nationwide.

A 74,000-watt FM station with coverage of Ketchum, Idaho has been offering regional Mexican programming in a simulcast with a Twin Falls-based FM since December 13. Soon, that simulcast will end. The station is being sold to a non-commercial religious broadcast ministry.

The Four Corners Region has long relied on broadcast signals from two Colorado cities and Farmington, N. Mex., and among the radio stations in these cities are nine properties. Pending FCC approval, they'll be former stations owned by American General Media. And, we know how much AGM is earning from the sale.

In the past, it was New York's home for music video channel The Box, and for now-defunct Spanish-language television networks MundoFOX and MundoMax. Today, it airs America TeVe programming. But, that will soon change as the low-power TV station is being sold.

Five years ago, the parent of Polskie Radio said goodbye to New York's Long Island by engineering a deal with a broadcast ministry led by Erick Salgado. Today, the two licensees have agreed to another deal.

As 2011 began, so did a lease management agreement between a major Hispanic media company serving the Southeast U.S. and George Buck. Two years later, Buck died, placing the two FMs, AM and FM translator it's been operating under an LMA in the hands of a trust. Now, Norberto Sanchez is making them O&Os.
