For current listeners, there won’t be significant changes in the programming, which currently offers a locals a locale “where you hear the Word” of God.

While seller Northwestern Illinois Radio Fellowship (NIRF) controls all programming, serving listeners in towns such as Rockford and in nearby Monroe, Wisc., WHRD-FM 106.9 in Freeport, Ill. features Moody Radio programming.

Now, Moody seeks to own WHRD, and is awaiting FCC approval on a deal valued at $64,000.

Equipment includes a Nautel NV5 LT transmitter and Orban Optimod 8500 audio processor. A Digital Alert Systems DASDEC-II EAS system is also being sold to Moody.

Serving as the buyer’s legal counsel in the transaction is Jeffrey Southmayd of Southmayd & Miller.
