It bills itself as “Oklahoma’s Media Company” and dates to 1971, when Oklahoma City ad man Ralph Tyler purchased KEBC Radio, making it a winner in the market. KEBC was then sold in the mid-1990s, but in 1998, Tyler Broadcasting Co. was born with the return of radio station ownership.
Now known as Tyler Media, the business is comprised of a small group of Telemundo, Univision and Estrella Media affiliates; an outdoor advertising business; and a collection of 13 radio stations. With regulatory approval, the number of radio properties will soon grow to 14.
