A Major Canadian Broadcaster Slams Regulators For AM Radio’s Demise

TORONTO — A Canadian AM with 50kw on October 27 signed off the air, with its corporate parent submitting a voluntary license revocation request. While the CRTC said OK, concluding CIWW‘s broadcast life at 1310 kHz, now-former licensee Rogers Sports & Media slammed the regulatory body for not doing enough to save AM radio in Canada.
