Antenne Réunion Television is a privately held broadcast channel serving a department of France sandwiched between Madagascar and Mauritius.

When it came time for the TV operation to decide how to bring guests on to their live broadcast production programs in a high-quality way, it adopted for a product courtesy of U.K.-based Quicklink.

As of today, ART is using Quicklink Studio (ST55) its remote guest needs, building on a relationship made necessary by the COVID-19 pandemic.

At first, like many broadcast TV operations, the station relied on consumer products such as Zoom and Skype. After a while, a professional solution for gathering high-quality remote guest contributions was necessary.

Anthony Vingadassalom of Antenne Réunion Television notes, “Previously Skype and Zoom had been used in many special edition productions. These tools had shown their limitations in production workflows, and were simply not designed for the world of broadcasting.”

Youshaa Hassenjee, Editor-in-Chief, says that, thanks to Quicklink Studio, “Our guests are free from the constraint of downloading software; they can simply join using a web link.”

With no apps or software required, guests can  join using any desktop, laptop, or mobile
device. The Assisted Invite feature allows remote guests to be automatically pre-screened, set-up and tested to go into a live environment through a series of step-by-step instructions.
