The Mountain Media Center seeks to gain a reputation as “the most progressive live production media center in the U.S.” How is it readying itself to meet that goal?
It is providing customers a complete live production ecosystem in the former Starz Encore building in Centennial, Colo.
This 315,000-square-foot facility features broadcast-ready infrastructure including raised floors, generators, uninterruptible power supply, satellite dishes, studios, and four Dolby Atmos-certified audio rooms.
And, Mountain Media says it will provide expanded operational space for Mobile TV Group, EVS, VID30, Colorado Arts Productions, and ATEME, among other organizations.
Beyond broadcast, there is a fitness center, and even racquetball courts. Plus, the Mountain Media Cafe serves lunch daily.
The center is the realization of the vision of founder Nick Garvin to create a premier destination for live broadcast excellence in the United States. He says the facility was designed and built with the specialized infrastructure that broadcast professionals demand — from redundant power systems and robust fiber connectivity to flexible technical spaces that can evolve with the industry.
“Mountain Media’s goal is to establish itself as the definitive hub for live broadcast innovation, where the most advanced production capabilities meet leading technology solutions,” Garvin said.
EVS EVP of North America Bevan Gibson commented, “This new office and industry leading training facility are strategically positioned to allow us to better support our clients across the continent, ensuring they receive the highest level of service and have access to the most advanced training resources available.”
A remodel of The Mountain Media Center is expected this summer. The center will feature versatile production spaces, advanced technical facilities, and collaborative areas designed to foster innovation.
