The official title is “Director of Discipleship,” and it is going to an individual who will be charged with oversight of Pillar Media “Star”-branded Christian-themed radio stations, found in Denver, Cincinnati and Central New Jersey.
Taking the position is Chad Mondragon, who will lead Pillar Media’s efforts to create digital content that fosters spiritual growth, the licensee of WAWZ-FM 99.1 in the Middlesex-Somerset-Union, N.J., market; WAKW-FM 93.3 in Cincinnati; and KPOF-AM 910, KFCO-FM 107.1 and KSRC-FM 101.5 in Denver.
All but KPOF and KFCO carry the “Star” brand; KFCO is known as “The New Flo 107.1” while KPOF is simply “AM910.”
In his new role, Mondragon will collaborate with programming and digital teams to develop content. He arrives after serving as Senior Director of Ministry Innovation at Hope Media Group for a five-year term.
Mondragon reports to Pillar Media Executive Director Art Garza and will be based in Cincinnati.
