Last week, it became known that RCS Sound Software SVP of Asia and Pacific Keith Williams would retire on March 31 after more than two decades with the iHeartMedia-owned enterprise benefiting radio programming leaders around the globe.
Now, it has become known that RCS’s President/CEO has decided to retire, too.
After two decades, Phillipe Generali will be relinquishing his role at RCS, a position he gained in 2006 after a decade of service in such prior roles as VP of Operations and Product Manager. He’ll step down on February 28, but continue to work as a senior consultant with Katz Media Group CEO Mark Gray for up to a year as his successor is sought.
“Philippe has been an extraordinary visionary and leader in shaping RCS into the global powerhouse it is today,” Gray said. “We are grateful for his decades of dedication and are excited to build on the strong foundation and talented leadership team that he leaves behind.”
Under Generali, RCS in 2003 created Media Monitors, which produces the weekly RBR+TVBR “Spot Ten” feature tracking advertising airplay at national TV and local cable “drop-in” rates, respectively.
In 2007, Generali added the duties of President/CEO of the Florical Systems division.
Prior to moving to the United States, Generali was the head of RCS Europe.
Speaking of his time at RCS, Generali said, “It’s been a phenomenal ride—working with incredible people and building something that truly changed the industry. I’m proud of the bold steps we’ve taken together and the lasting impact we’ve made. Every moment has been meaningful, and now I’m eager to discover new places, new ideas, and experiences with the same curiosity and joie de vivre that have guided me throughout this journey.”
