MIAMI — On December 9, RBR+TVBR first shared the news that former TelevisaUnivision ad sales veteran John Kozack had joined Allen Media Group to serve as its Chief Revenue Officer of Advertising Sales.

Now, RBR+TVBR has confirmed the cafecito chatter around town that a notable advertising industry veteran has succeeded Kozack at the world’s largest Spanish-language content creation and distribution company.

Cara Lewis has been appointed Executive VP and U.S. Head of Agency for TelevisaUnivision. She’ll be taking on her new duties effective January 1, 2026, and reports to Tim Natividad.

Natividad has been in his role as President of U.S. Advertising Sales and Marketing for six months, succeeding Donna Speciale in June.

Commenting on Lewis’ appointment, Natividad said in a note to staff obtained by RBR+TVBR that her arrival “is an exciting evolution for our U.S. Agency team, where Cara will bring a sharp strategic perspective and strong leadership to propel us into the next phase of growth. She recognizes the scale of our opportunity and the power of our audience, and she is committed to helping us advance as a modern, client-focused organization built for today’s marketplace.”

Lewis is widely known for her four years at dentsu, where she presently serves as Chief Investment & Activation Officer. She’s also been a key figure at Carat, serving as VP and Group Director until rising to Chief Investment Officer.

Earlier in her career, Lewis was VP/Account Director at MPG, working on the Sears account between 2007 and 2010. Before that, she served as a supervisor at Initiative, from 2000 to 2008.

“Importantly, her vantage point from 26+ years on the agency side gives her a unique understanding of how clients evaluate investment decisions while navigating a rapidly shifting media landscape,” Natividad said.

The naming of Lewis comes amid other chatter in the Miami community involving TelevisaUnivision and a round of layoffs impacting multiple departments. Company spokespersons declined to respond to RBR+TVBR‘s requests for comment on any reduction-in-force initiatives that may be transpiring at the Miami-headquartered operation.
