A Punjabi Purchase In The Works For KLOK

From the autumn of 2010 through early 2017,  a company led by Charlie Banta and Sandra Miller owned a San Francisco Bay Area AM that had once been one of the biggest regional Mexican players in the region. It was sold for $6 million. Now, the company that made that deal is spinning the AM for less than half of that price. For Punjabi American Media, it further grows its radio network in the Golden State.

Estrella Media Spins A DFW AM

It's a Class B AM that signed on in 1949 as KCUL-AM and since 1967 has had 11 subsequent call letters and a variety of formats including "Personal Achievement Radio" in the late 1990s, and Spanish-language programming. In 2006, it became a part of the predecessor company of Estrella Media, after LBI Media acquired it from Entravision. Now, Estrella has struck a deal to sell the AM station.

Greg Janoff Transitions to Consulting Role At USRN

In August 2019, Greg Janoff was welcomed by United Stations Radio Networks as its new Chief Revenue Officer. As of today, Janoff, whose past roles include those of VP/GM for WINS-AM in New York, will serve in a consulting role at USRN. A new CRO is already in-house at the company co-founded by the late Dick Clark and Chairman/CEO Nick Verbitsky.
