Sinclair Exec Joe Koff, Known for Wrestling Show, Dies

He's a Sinclair Broadcast Group executive known for the success of the  syndicated pro wrestling program "Ring of Honor." There was also a role as Director of Sales at WFLX-29 in West Palm Beach under then-owner Malrite Communications. Joe Koff is remembered for having a "great career," says one broadcast TV ownership group head. Koff has died of cancer at the age of 73.

A leadership training fellowship for public media station managers is being developed by St. Petersburg, Fla.-based Poynter Institute is developing and administering. St. Louis TV Legend Ray Hoffstetter Dies

The station had been on the air for one year, and when he walked into the studios for the first time on that February 1948 day, he said, "This is for me. This is what I want to do." Thus began a more than 60-year career at KSDK-5 in St. Louis. Now, the television industry is pausing to pay tribute to Ray Hoffstetter, who has passed away at the age of 98.
