Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group has selected an individual who will now see all financial planning, accounting, and business operations for its Allen Media Digital division, comprised of Local Now, TheGrio Streaming App, HBCU GO, The Weather Channel Streaming App, The Weather Channel en Español, and Sports.TV.

The "Eyewitness News" team that features market veteran Ken Rosato (pictured, at left) in mornings will soon have a new News Director. He will succeed the late Rehan Aslam, who died in July following a year-long battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer.

In August, Miami-headquartered Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS) announced its entrance into the world of digital marketing solutions with the launch of a pure-play digital marketing department, DigIdea, Digital Marketing Solutions. Now the company has named a VP of Digital Sales and Strategy for the department.

The "iOne Digital" division of Urban One, the multimedia company superserving African American media consumers that also owns a casino gaming resort in the Washington, D.C., area has named a VP for its "One Solution" cross-platform client services arm.

New York Festivals 2023 Radio Awards competition is now open for entries. This year the competition unveiled two new documentary categories.

For 15 years he was a standout Defensive End for the New York Giants of the NFL. He would later transform himself into a popular Emmy-winning journalist who today co-anchors ABC's "Good Morning America." Now, this TV and gridiron pro is being given a top honor from the Board of Directors of the New York State Broadcasters Association.

In late September, it named its new Chief of Marketing, inbound from Latin World Entertainment Licensing, where she served as its President. Now, Hope Media Group — the religious broadcast entity created with the merger of the parent of KSBJ in Houston with Way Media — has a new VP of National Operations.

He's presently the President/CEO of "Your Public Radio" in Baltimore, and led the NPR Member station through COVID-19 while growing revenue and listenership and directing the acquisition of WTMD-FM from Towson University. Now, he's heading to the Big Apple to lead two big noncommercial audio brands.

Among the 2023 honorees are Debra OConnell, ABC News President Kim Godwin, an iHeartMedia C-Suite leader, and Chesley Maddox-Dorsey, who today is CEO of AURN and is a former owner of broadcast radio stations.

Kraig T. Kitchin, Co-Chairman of the Radio Hall of Fame, said, “The Radio Hall of Fame is dedicated to recognizing the individuals who have made the greatest impact on our 100+ year old industry. I’m thrilled to see the Nominating Committee confirm the induction of these 10 individuals who each made such an impact on our industry in their time.”

He's been the President/CEO of the New Jersey Broadcasters Association since 2008 and in that time has become an outspoken advocate for over-the-air stations across the Garden State. Now, he has announced his retirement from the role to "entertain new opportunities in communications and media."

He most recently SVP of Sales Strategy and General Manager for 2060 Digital. Now, Steve Goldstein has earned a promotion at the Hubbard Radio enterprise.

He's known across the National Capital Region as the morning host on Cumulus Media News/Talker WMAL-FM 105.9 in Washington, D.C. Soon, he'll be gathering a new audience eager for news and insight on the forthcoming digitally delivered video offering from Salem Media Group.

The Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development for Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting, who came to the owner of the city's key NPR Member stations following a career in hospitality and restaurants, has been promoted to Senior Vice President.  She starts her new role on Saturday.

New York Women in Communications (NYWICI), an organization devoted to female communications professionals, will celebrate the honorees for its 2022 Matrix Awards on October 26 at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in Manhattan.
