With Dave Popovich retiring soon, Audacy Corp. needed to find the next Operations Manager for its four FMs and “Channel Q” HD multicast offering serving Cleveland.

That search has concluded, with a transfer from Madison, Wisc., of the individual who has been running Audacy’s properties in that market.

The new OM overseeing WDOK “Star 102,” WNCX, WQAL “Q104,” WKRK “92.3 The Fan,” and WQAL HD3’s “Channel Q” offering is Chase Daniels.

“Having Chase join us from our stations in Madison is a testament to the depth of talent at Audacy and the work he’s done there,” said Tom Herschel, Senior Vice President and Market Manager for Audacy/Cleveland. “We couldn’t be more pleased to welcome Chase to Cleveland.”

Daniels shared, “When the opportunity to lead the heritage brands Dave Popovich built into 2023 and beyond opened up, it was something that quickly became a no brainer. I can’t wait to get started working with the amazing team in Cleveland. I want to thank Dave Richards, Tom Herschel, Steve Salhany and Jeff Sottolano for going out of their way to make this a seamless transition for me and my family. I also want to thank Andrea Hansen and the entire Madison team for their support and encouragement.”

Daniels joined Audacy in 2013 as Program Director for-then Indianapolis sister station WNTR-FM before being promoted to Operations Manager of Audacy/Madison’s WOLX-FM, “105.5 Triple M” and “Mix 105.1.” Previous programming roles include now-Audacy owned WSTR “Star 94” in Atlanta (formerly a Jefferson-Pilot and Lincoln Financial Group property) and WAPE-FM in Jacksonville, owned by Cox Media Group.

Audacy will begin a nationwide search for Operations Manager of its Madison market.
