His passion of music led him to a career in radio broadcasting and engineering, where he enjoyed sharing that joy and his expertise with others. Now, many are paying tribute to Jeff Goode, who has died at the age of 64.

Goode passed away on February 10.

For the past 15 years, he served as a contract engineer, offering services built on his years of self-taught experience and roles that included serving as the Chief Engineer for the three Cumulus Media stations serving Indianapolis, between May 2006 and November 2007.

Before that, he spent 12 years as Chief Engineer of WFMS, WGLD and WGRL in Indianapolis for then-owner Susquehanna Radio.

Goode is also well-remembered for his role as the engineer for WOWO-AM & FM in his hometown of Fort Wayne, Ind. There, he worked for Price Communications from March 1984-May 1993.

With Jack Didier, today the Director of Engineering at Federated Media, he formed Broadcast Circuit Systems. That was in 1983, and among the first two employees was Jeff Littlejohn, the EVP/Engineering at iHeartMedia.

Contributions in Goode’s memory may be made to Huntington’s Disease Society of America.
