“NAB Show New York 2025 showcased the creative forces transforming media right now.”
That’s the post-event assessment from NAB Global Connections and Events Executive VP Karen Chupka, following an event that is attracting a greater number of radio industry executives thanks in part to the Radio Wayne Awards.
“Across every sector, from broadcasters and filmmakers to creators and technologists, attendees came together to learn, experiment and connect in one of the most dynamic professional communities anywhere,” Chupka said at the conclusion of the two-day conference that traditionally puts a focus on technology and engineering-minded topics.
This year, C-Suite concerns including the ethically suitable use of AI in newsrooms to the “rise of the creator economy” were major discussion topics. “Next-generation sports storytelling” was also a focus of the event, which saw 11,500 registered attendees and nearly 250 credentialed media attendees. Some 10% of the attendees were from outside the U.S., while 62% had never been at an NAB Show New York event.
The NAB says this is “evidence of the show’s international reach and a fresh wave of creators, producers and decision-makers.”
NAB Show New York featured 260 exhibitors and sponsors, including 51 first-time companies. Demonstrations highlighted AI-enabled production and editing tools, workflow automation and data-driven storytelling, alongside live-shopping and creator-commerce activations that brought platform strategy to life.
The RBR+TVBR Fall 2025 magazine, distributed November 10, will feature a new expanded Tech section with coverage of IBC2025 and NAB Show New York. Look for it in just over two weeks!
