The Director of Engineering for Fox Television Stations‘ owned-and-operated broadcast TV station serving Atlanta has been promoted to VP/Engineering and Operations.
In the words of SVP/GM Bill Schneider, she’s performed “beautifully” since the retirement earlier this year of Terry Jones, putting WAGA-5 in excellent hands.
Earning the step up at WAGA is Shannon Wilson.
She took her now-previous role in 2021. Prior to that, she was Chief Engineer at WCIV-4 in Charleston, S.C. Before that, Wilson held various positions at WTVM-TV in Columbus, Ga., first as a News and Content Specialist, rising to IT Manager.
Wilson is also a Section Manager for the Atlanta section of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, as well as the Society of Broadcast Engineers. She is a Certified Broadcast Technologist, Certified Broadcast Network Technologist, and Certified Television Operator.
