Orban European Sales Leader Readies For Retirement

This year’s IBC conference, which begins in two weeks in Amsterdam, will be the final broadcast technology affair for a 24-year Orban veteran who serves as its SVP of Global Sales and European Operations.

That’s because he’s retiring from the audio processing company at the end of 2024.

Peter Lee’s journey with Orban began in 2000, when he joined “Dialog4.” Lee was instrumental in the sale of that entity to Orban/CRL, thus setting the foundation for his future contributions to Orban. Following the acquisition, Lee took on the role of European Sales Manager and advanced to Vice President of European Sales and General Manager of Orban Europe. Under his leadership, Orban relocated its U.S.-based manufacturing operations to Germany, where Orban continues to produce its OPTIMOD Digital Audio Processors.

Lee earned his current title in 2018. He remarked, “Working for Orban has been an honor. The broadcast markets are going through a transition period, and I am confident that Orban has the tools to assist and remain successful.”

Orban CEO David Day commented, “We want to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your valuable contributions to Orban during your tenure. Your efforts, dedication, and professionalism have not only been greatly appreciated but have also played a significant role in the success and growth of Orban. You have consistently demonstrated a high level of commitment in your work, and your positive attitude and collaborative spirit have been an inspiration to your colleagues.”

At IBC 2024, Orban will appear at stand D.93 in Hall 8.
