NewsNet Snags A Sunshine State Capitol Signal

Tiny Greenville, Fla. is largely known as the childhood home of Ray Charles. It’s also just east of the state capital, Tallahassee, and that’s why a low-powered TV station serving this hamlet is of interest to NewsNet‘s parent — which is agreeing to buy the facility from Jeff Winemiller.

Bridge News LLC, helmed by CEO Vince Bodiford and financed by 5-Hour Energy mogul Manoj Bhargava, is agreeing to acquire W35DH-D in Greenville from Lowcountry 34 Media, the Winemiller-led licensee.

A tower lease with Gray Television is included in the transaction’s terms.

A $300,000 purchase price has been agreed upon, with a 10% escrow deposit made to Winemiller.

There is no broker or finder associated with this deal, which awaits FCC regulatory approval.

Serving as Bridge News’ legal counsel is Dan J. Alpert. Lowcountry 34 used the services of Pohlman Law Group PLC in Ashburn, Va.
