A global video game commerce company that seeks to help developers launch, grow, and monetize their products has signed what it calls a “landmark” content partnership with the nation’s largest single owner of broadcast TV stations. The agreement, however, involves the 24/7 news operation of Nexstar Media Group.
The pact will see Xsolla team up with MVPD-distributed NewsNation to produce and distribute a co-branded vodcast series focused on the culture, business, and technology of gaming.
Episodes will be available across Nexstar’s NewsNation, as well as YouTube, Spotify, and featured across all social media platforms.
As the companies explain, the gaming industry continues to increase its influence on global entertainment. As such, players and developers alike are seeking deeper conversations bridging culture, technology, and creativity. “The Xsolla + Nexstar vodcast series aims to fill this gap by pairing Nexstar’s expansive media reach with Xsolla’s deep expertise in interactive entertainment,” the companies note. “The result is a unique series designed to inform, inspire, and engage both gamers and industry professionals.”
Seasonal Production will yield 10 full-length episodes produced between 2025 and 2026, beginning with the premiere filmed at Gamescom in Germany, in August. Additional episodes will be filmed at NewsNation’s studios in Chicago, with opportunities for on-location shoots at major industry events.
Each episode will pair NewsNation host Cher Hwang with Xsolla executives, partners, and featured game developers.
