It has a Class A FM signal serving the U.S. Virgin Islands, and until now has been owned by a Detroit-based individual who leases the HD2 signal on WGPR-FM in the Motor City.
That programming also airs on the St. Thomas-based FM, licensed to Charlotte Amalie. But, that will soon change in a significant way. Educational Media Foundation has gained entry into the U.S. territory, following its July 2017 acquisition of a big Puerto Rico FM.
