Under the brand Jackson Hole Radio, a group led by Scott Anderson and locally managed by Lynda John is now operating a collection of radio properties that include a Class C1 Adult Alternative, a Class C Active Rocker, a Class C1 Country and an AM with an FM translator associated with it.
Now, it is purchasing the stations from the Chapter 11 trustee appointed as the licensee’s bankruptcy representative.
For $550,000, Jackson Hole Radio is acquiring the following stations from RP Broadcasting Idaho LLC:
- Class C KSGT-AM 1340 and K242BU at 96.3 MHz in Jackson, Wyo., branded as “La Nueva Live” and airing a Spanish-language format
- KMTN-FM 96.9 in Jackson
- KZJH-FM 95.3 in Jackson
- Country KJAX-FM 93.5 in Jackson
The transaction also includes FM translators K265DA in Teton Village and two facilities in nearby Driggs, Idaho: K239AU and K281BH.
Jackson Hole Radio began operating the stations via a Local Programming and Marketing Agreement on Sept. 30.
The sale was administered by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Utah Central Division, which appointed Mark Hashimoto as the seller’s trustee.
While RP Broadcasting is the seller, it is Jerry Lundquist-led Chaparral Broadcasting which holds a first priority security interest and lien on the assets, and they will get the proceeds immediately upon closing.
