Pallone, Doyle To Probe FCC?

House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Frank Pallone Jr. (D-N.J.) and Communications and Technology Subcommittee Chairman Mike Doyle (D-Pa.) are hardly fans of FCC Chairman Ajit Pai‘s reforms and leadership since he succeeded Tom Wheeler at the agency.

As such, a few fireworks may be expected come December 5, when the subcommittee headed by Doyle will hold a Commission oversight hearing.

“The FCC is considering a number of actions that could have serious consequences for the American people,” Pallone and Doyle said.  “As the Committee with jurisdiction over the FCC, we must ensure the Commission is fulfilling its mission to protect consumers and act in the public interest.  We look forward to welcoming the Commissioners at our hearing on December 5.”

Additional details will be announced the week before the hearing.
