In October 2021, SummitMedia completed its acquisition of an AM radio station serving the Wichita, Ks., market, from the Jon S. Kelly Administrative Trust. Then came an engineering Special Temporary Authority authorization, several extensions, and in January 2026 a silent STA request.
Now, a return to life for this facility at 1070 kHz is on the way. And, it will be under new ownership.
