Galaxy Media Acquires Cavalcade of Cars

In another move that expands the radio station licensee’s nontraditional revenue streams, Galaxy Media is revving up its revenue engines and looking forward to fast ROI by acquiring one of Central New York’s biggest indoor automotive expos.


 

Syracuse Nationals LLC, a partnership between Galaxy Media Partners and Paradise Companies, is buying the Syracuse Cavalcade of Cars.

Ownership will be in place ahead of the next show, scheduled for March 22-23 at the New York State Fairgrounds. The annual event dates to 1994.

Ed Levine, Founder and CEO of Galaxy Media Partners, commented, “Just as we’ve done with the Syracuse Nationals, we look forward to preserving the Cavalcade’s history and meaning in the community, while adding even more features that long-time fans will love.”

The Cavalcade of Cars expos have been staged as part of a “Thruway Series” in both Syracuse and in the Western New York city of Hamburg.

Doug Sheesley, co-founder of the Cavalcade of Cars, commented, “My co-founder Roger Youmans and I saw an opportunity that would help grow the Syracuse show to new heights, and would ensure car enthusiasts young and old that a premier indoor car show is ever-growing in the CNY area.”
