Eddie Fritts honored at NAB Show

It was like old times with Eddie Fritts behind the podium Monday (4/11) at the NAB Show in Las Vegas. But he wasn’t there to preside, rather to receive an award.

Fritts received the Distinguished Service Award from the NAB, honoring him for the 23 years he led the organization. The veteran broadcaster and lobbyist now heads The Fritts Group in Washington, DC.

Still a broadcaster through and through, Fritts declared that public service is “ingrained in broadcasters.” And noting the current debate over spectrum, he declared that “there is no communications medium that’s more reliable than broadcasting.”
