For DNAV, A SAS Transmission Router Gets Center Stage

New Jersey-headquartered technical systems consultant, systems integrator and broadcast equipment manufacturer’s representative DNAV is gearing up for a 2025 NAB Show experience that will see it focus on products offering centralized monitoring capabilities and the launch of its new SAS Transmission Router.

At the conference and expo, which fully opens Sunday (4/6), DNAV representatives can be found in the Sierra Automated Systems (SAS) booth in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center (W3249), adjacent next to Orban (W3243).

“Our main theme at NAB this year is end-to-end solutions for broadcast, along with central monitoring,” says DNAV Principal Nick Straka. “While some large operators have an Network Operations Center to centrally manage and monitor their facilities, many regional and smaller groups do not. DNAV, together with hardware solutions from SAS, Orban, Inovonics, and our own in-house development, can bridge that gap.”

The SAS Transmission Router will be fully operational at the Orban booth, demonstrating real-time connectivity with SAS consoles and engines at the SAS booth. The product allows users to adjust transmission routes at a remote site. Straka explains, “The SAS Transmission Router dashboard provides operators with a clear, real-time view of their signal paths. With a single login, engineers can monitor and adjust their entire transmission chain, ensuring stations stay on-air even in the face of technical issues.”

The SAS Transmission Router reimagines the “endpoint” device that performs simple switching functions in RF and NOC environments as a smart device. An extension of the SAS Global Connect universal command and control system, the SAS Transmission Router is equipped with intelligent software for situational analysis of network and infrastructure performance.
