Real-time graphics and live production specialist Vizrt has appointed a Chief Commercial Officer to bring together its commercial teams in one unified organization. Earning the role is a six-year company veteran.

ZTransform, which has in recent years built out studio and office space for broadcast stations including KNKX in Seattle, has a new Senior Design Engineer. He has led engineering teams on projects for CNN, Amazon, Facebook/Meta, Time Warner Cable, Seattle Mariners, Carolina Hurricanes, NFL Network, and Microsoft Studios.

The broadcast television station group led by Rob Weisbord is teaming up with a group of PBS Member stations for the launch of what is being billed as the first no-cost broadcast-enabled streaming TV, or "BEST" channel, in Omaha. The offering is being hosted by the FOX affiliate in the market as "a free, virtual channel in addition to its other programming offerings."

MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Solutions returned to the NAB Show New York conference and expo this week with two cinematic workflow demos that put a focus on the company's product line allowing for remote use of power cinematic cameras for live multi-camera productions.

Hitachi Kokusai’s SK-UHD7000 live production camera system incorporates three 2/3-inch CMOS image sensors with native 4K resolution to enable the capture of 3840x2160 UHD video. The sensors’ global shutter technology minimizes flickering and banding that could otherwise occur when capturing video in TV production sets with LED lighting and large LED displays, the company says.

He'll lead the FCC’s Office of Engineering and Technology, which maintains the U.S. table of frequency allocation, manages spectrum policy for unlicensed devices, oversees the FCC’s experimental licensing program and equipment authorization program, and conducts engineering and technical studies, on an acting basis.

Mediaproxy, known for its software-based IP compliance products, plans to highlight its recently acquired A3SA certification at next week's NAB Show New York. In particular, the company plans to demonstrate its family of compliance monitoring and multi-viewer systems, which now provide decryption for ATSC 3.0-based broadcasts.

Six months ago, a partnership was reached between broadcast tower manufacturer Dielectric and broadcast tech company SCMS.  This opened the door to a growing number of FM Radio projects for Dielectric. Today, the companies are celebrating the installation of a 12-bay antenna and a combiner in Bemidji, Minn.
