SMPTE Call For Technical Papers Is Out

SMPTE, the global society of media professionals, technologists, and engineers working in the digital entertainment industry, has put out a call for technical papers for the SMPTE 2025 Media Technology Summit, scheduled for October 13-16 in Pasadena, Calif.


The Summit will aim to present the latest innovative processes, tools, workflows, interoperability solutions, standards, and various other initiatives driving the industry forward. Original, unpublished manuscripts will undergo multipeer review when
submitted as abstracts.

Abstracts should fall within the range of 300-400 words and will be
accepted until May 31.

The conference program committee will notify authors of decisions by June 30.

Authors of selected papers will be granted the opportunity to present at the peer-reviewed
forum dedicated to the exploration of media and entertainment technology. Furthermore, the manuscripts will automatically be considered for publication in the SMPTE Motion Imaging Journal, subject to a separate post-event peer-review process.

Previously published work, as well as product-specific, commercial, sales, or promotional
papers, will not be considered for this conference. SMPTE strongly encourages the submission of student papers. Paper proposals may be submitted online.
