Rather, we're talking about a Class D AM with 5kw during daylight hours and 70 watts after dark at 1600 kHz in an Oklahoma town where it also sports an unbuilt FM translator. The AM bears the call letters KUSH, and these Cushing stations are heading to a new owner.

Two Deals, Featuring Two Noncomms

It may be a holiday in Canada, but things are particularly quiet at the FCC as the start of the 2021 fiscal year gets underway for many companies. July 1 saw the posting by the Commission of just two newly consummated transactions. Both deals involve noncommercial FM radio stations.

Winemiller Spills A First State LPTV Property To A Zebra

In April, Janet and Jeff Winemiller made news by making a trade with Marquee Broadcasting that saw their Lowcountry 34 Media become the licensee of a low-power TV property in Delaware's state capital. “We are happy to add WEVD to our other LPTV stations in Myrtle Beach, and in LaGrange and Savannah, Georgia,” Jeff Winemiller said at the time. He's just sold it.

The Praise Network’s Grand Exit From Grand Island

Good news and great Gospel music. That's been the brand promise of a Class B AM serving Grand Island, Neb., since a February 2008 transaction that brought the facility into The Praise Network family. Twelve years later, the AM -- now with an FM translator giving the station some "revitalization" -- are being spun.

A Marquee LPFM Deal In Myrtle Beach

In March 2015, a collection of low-power TV stations in Texas, Florida and South Carolina was spun by DTV America Corp. for $152,000. Fast-forward five years later, and just one of those 38 properties has fetched a price that is significantly higher than the value of that entire 2015 deal.
