Up on Persimmon Knob in Alum Springs, Ky., sits the broadcast tower for a Class A FM recently reported as silent.
The radio station using this tower has just been handed to a new licensee, pending FCC approval. And, the buyer will take care of creditors’ bills — including the one for the tower lease.
S I M Communications Corp. is agreeing to purchase WKYB-FM 107.5 in Perryville, Ky., from Lincoln-Garrard Broadcasting Co.
WKYB’s home market is Danville, Ky., to the southwest of Lexington-Fayette.
The transaction is valued at $150,000.
There is no broker or finder in this deal, which sees S I M agree to settle all outstanding payments owed by Lincoln-Garrard.
