Three months ago, RBR+TVBR shared the news that Bill Wachter's Chisolm Trail Communications had agreed to spin a pair of FM radio stations serving Meridian, Tex. Now, the transaction has formally closed.

On October 26, 1924, an AM radio station offering Christian talk and teaching programs signed on the air. It is still broadcasting today, and with its original format intact. Now, as the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod celebrates that station's 98th anniversary, it is acquiring an AM sibling from another broadcast ministry.

With the passing of Pablo de Jesus Colón, inducted into the Connecticut Broadcaster’s Association Hall of Fame in 2015, the AM and FM translator that’s home to the Spanish-language operation based in Bridgeport, Conn., in March 2022 was placed into his estate. Now, a buyer has emerged.

A licensee led by John Devine has agreed to spin a FM translator serving the Georgia city of Augusta. Signing off on the deal for the buyer is the group's Chief Financial Officer, Julie Ziegler.
