Pending FCC approval, a swap will give a broadcast ministry ownership of a digital low-power TV station in Seattle, while a secular operator will receive another LPTV property serving New Mexico's largest market in return.

On Tuesday, RBR+TVBR was first to report on the sale of two FM translators to Townsquare Media. Now, the seller behind that deal in Sedalia, Mo., has engineered a transaction that will see it obtain a dark 1.25kw FM serving areas due east of Joplin, Mo.

It is known as a "local first" company that is swiftly growing its profits from its digital advertising enterprises. That said, Townsquare Media remains rooted in radio, which could explain why it is agreeing to acquire a pair of FM translators in the Show-Me State.

Paperwork has been submitted with the FCC that seeks regulatory approval for a transaction in which a FM radio station licensed to Rockdale, Tex., will be transferred to the Cowboy Broadcasting Network from its current licensee.

With the legal assistance of veteran communications law attorney John C. Trent, a private not-for-profit educational institution located in Muscle Shoals, Ala., has agreed to purchase an AM radio station with a FM translator serving a Southern Alabama city adjacent to Fort Rucker. 

The area surrounding Lynchburg, Tenn., is famous thanks to its whiskey distilleries. That's why Bowman Broadcasting's local broadcast audio services includes "Whiskey Country," airing on a pair of FM frequencies. Pending FCC approval, the audio brand and its siblings will be under new ownership.

Now, this locale between Flagler County, to the south, and the sprawling Jacksonville area to the north is seeing the transfer of an FM translator to a radio group led by VP/GM David Ayres.

The station shut down under an STA. Now, the University of Texas at Tyler has found a buyer, thanks in part to broker Greg Guy of Tideline Partners and Scott Fybush of Fybush Media.

With Frank Montero as legal counsel, a New York-based individual is shifting ownership of a construction permit for a future radio station on Florida's Panhandle to an LLC for which he's the sole member. It now awaits regulatory approval.

A 1kw Class D AM and its companion FM translator have been sold some 11 years after a first deal was agreed to but never closed, paperwork filed with the FCC for regulatory approval confirms. Once the deal closes, Pluria Marshall will formally become the former owner of the "Voice of Northwest Indiana."

Coloff Media was founded by Tony and Sue Coloff in 1978. Today, it is led by Jim Coloff. Now, the Iowa-focused company has agreed to expand with the purchase of an AM/FM combo and FM translator in a town due north of the Quad Cities.

A LMA-to-purchase agreement signed in August 2021 handed control of a 1kw Class C AM and its FM translator licensed to Haverhill, Mass., to the CEO of Hispanic media rep firm MNA Sales, and national Hispanic radio network Nueva Network. Now he's executing the buy.
