A broadcast ministry with Spanish-language and English-language radio stations serving listeners in Southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa is about to grow. It’s thanks to a newly filed transaction awaiting FCC regulatory approval involving two FMs — both in the Hawkeye State.
KTDV-FM in State Center, Iowa, and KRFH-FM in Marshalltown, Iowa, are being acquired by Kinship Radio parent Minnesota Iowa Christian Broadcasting Inc.
The seller is Marshalltown Education Plus, led by Eric Osmundson.
With Scott Woodworth of Edinger Associates PLLC representing the seller as counsel and Kathleen Victory of Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth serving as the buyer’s legal counsel, Kinship Radio is paying $100,000 for the pair of FMs.
A 10% deposit has been made to the seller.
KTDV, at 91.9 MHz, has a Class C3 signal covering Marshalltown and communities to the north. It is branded as “The Dove.”
KRFH, at 88.7 MHz, is a Class C3 FM with a signal centered on Marshalltown.
