A Country ‘KC101’ Heading to a New Owner

For decades, Southern Connecticut radio listeners have enjoyed a Top 40 station once home to conservative talk host Glenn Beck (then a music and entertainment-focused morning host) branded as “KC101.” But did you know there is another “KC101,” at 101.5 MHz in the Keystone State? This station, a Class A FM serving Mansfield and Wellsboro, airs country music. And it’s just been sold.

According to an asset purchase agreement submitted for FCC regulatory approval on Friday, Mid-Atlantic Broadcasting Inc. has agreed to part ways with WDKC-FM 101.5 in Covington, Pa., and its noncommercial FM translator sibling, W246AL at 91.9 MHz.

The buyer is BYS Solutions, led by Jessica Lynn Sandstrom.

Signing off on the deal for the seller is President Kevin Gluszczak.

The total amount being paid to Mid-Atlantic by BYS is $1,000.
