Broadcasters Foundation Mixer Celebrates Annual Giving Day

The Broadcasters Foundation of America successfully hosted its first-ever Media Mixer at iHeartMedia’s offices in New York City on Thursday night. iHeart syndicated talent Angela Yee served as the evening’s MC, in what is intended to be the first in a series of nationwide BFoA Media Mixers.

Drawing an eclectic group of around 150 participants, ranging from top broadcast executives across radio and TV to interns and college students, the event was a hit. Attendees had the chance to network and socialize, and they were also treated to a performance by emerging pop artist, YDE.

Coincidentally, the Media Mixer occurred on the same day as the Broadcasters Foundation Giving Day, a special day dedicated to raising funds for BFoA’s charitable endeavors. The foundation offers financial support to broadcasters who are in dire need due to severe illness, accidents, or other major misfortunes.

Given the positive response to this initial event, the goal is for the Media Mixer to become a regular occurrence, kickstarting a series of mixers across the country to expand BFoA’s influence.
