Akta Brings AI-First Cloud Video Workflows to Oracle Cloud

Akta, an AI-First SaaS video platform used by broadcast media companies, is celebrating the availability of its video platform on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

The availability of Akta on OCI gives media organizations a new way to modernize video
infrastructure without stitching together separate tools, cloud environments or workflow systems, the company says.

“Broadcasters can now ingest and route channels through Akta Media Gateway, ingest and
distribute live streams and manage their live video workflows from ingest and routing to live channel management on OCI,” Akta notes.

As large media companies build their live playout in the cloud, there is a growing need to
distribute live channels directly from the cloud using low latency transport such as SRT.
Broadcasters are under pressure to deliver more channels, more formats and more
personalized viewing experiences without adding operational complexity.

“Akta’s cloud native tools allow media companies to build and deploy live channel production without any dependence on on-premise infrastructure. However, traditional cloud providers price direct egress at such high prices that it has not been economical to move the entire live distribution to the cloud” said Alper Turgut, Chairman at Akta. “Unlike other cloud platforms, Oracle Cloud is built and priced for efficient networking. Not only is egress performant and seamless, but also priced right to make native production, assembly and distribution of live channels directly from the cloud.”

Akta will showcase the new OCI deployment at StreamTV Show 2026, taking place through June 19 at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Denver.
