KINGSTON, N.Y. — On Friday (1/31), RBR+TVBR was first to report on the sale of a low-powered TV station serving the New York State Capital Region by Dan Viles. It turns out the buyer of that property is also buying a pair of LPTV properties just to the south in the Catskills, and the seller is low power TV entrepreneur and 5G TV advocate “SuperFrank” Copsidas.
The Ron Bruno-led Gulf Boulevard Broadcasting LLC is agreeing to purchase WYNB-LD in Ellenville, N.Y., and WZPK-LD in Monticello, N.Y., from the Copsidas-led Hudson TV LLC.
Paperwork has been submitted to the FCC for its regulatory approval by Copsidas’ legal counsel, Mark Denbo of Smithwick & Belendiuk.
Bruno is represented by Joan Stewart of Wiley Law.
Gulf Boulevard is a 50/50 partnership between two Bruno-led LLCs: Foxwood Partners and Vision Communications.
A $250,000 purchase price has been agreed to by the parties. Terms call for a $75,000 payment on the first closing date. A $175,000 payment will be made on the second closing date.
