Who’s Speaking at Radiodays North America?

In early June, “the meeting point for Radio, Podcast and Audio” will be a two-day affair tied to the Canadian Music Week (CMW) Music Week three-day summit — an event that will see representatives from the CBC joined by Corus, iHeartMedia partner Bell Media, Rogers Sports & Media, Stingray and tastemaker CIND “Indie 88” at the Westin Harbour Castle in downtown Toronto.

But, will U.S. radio leaders be keeping an eye on Radiodays North America?

It’s an intriguing question, as the NAB is gravitating closer to presenting a full slate of radio industry panels and conference speakers at its NAB New York event in late October.

As the Canadian organizers of Radiodays North America see it, their event is being pitched as a natural extension of one of the best industry conferences for radio and audio broadcasting in the world — Radiodays Europe.

The Maple Leaf incarnation of this event is scheduled for June 8-9, and speakers include former Radio & Records Adult Contemporary Editor and KYSR “Star 98.7” in Los Angeles programming team member Angela Perelli; veteran Canadian air personality Alan Cross; Audacy Corp. VP of National Programming and Classic Hits Format VP Chris Ebbott; iHeartMedia VP of Talent Development Dennis Clark and Regional SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia/Chicago James Howard; Jacobs Media President Fred Jacobs; Joint Communications Corp. President John Parikhal; Edison Research President Larry Rosin; Orbyt Media and iHeartRadio Canada Director of Radio Content Sarah Cummings; and veteran radio industry consultant Valerie Geller.

Radiodays North America will also feature a Radio Awards Luncheon scheduled for June 9.
