Vizrt Unites Portfolio With Full NewTek Integration

Vizrt, the Norwegian real-time graphics and live production product maker, has formed what it considers “the most comprehensive single vendor product portfolio in content creation.”

Since the acquisition of NewTek by Vizrt in 2019, the organizations have focused on their respective broadcast and pro AV markets, largely operating separately under the umbrella of Vizrt Group. With the markets of broadcast and pro AV now converging, the needs of customers and end users are changing, the company’s CEO, Michael Hallén, says.

“From transitioning to IP-based infrastructure, monetization, capturing audience attention, remotely producing content, driving remote collaboration, moving to the cloud, focusing on sustainability, security, and the skill gap – we found our customers across both sides of the portfolio are evolving and often need to do more, with less. Now, Vizrt is a one-stop shop to support it all,” he says.

To best service its customers, Vizrt and NewTek have been working hard to unify and grow its customer service, support, university, R&D, and product teams.

Hallén says, “After years of investment, we have expanded our customer success function, which includes service, and support, to be a 150-person strong, critical branch of our organization. Our R&D teams, spanning six global hubs, have over 250 engineers, and our product team has developed and released more than 20 innovations in the past year, with many more in the pipeline.”

As such, as a result of the last few years of investment, and to continue to deliver innovative and user-centric software solutions to meet the evolving needs of its customers and end users, Vizrt and NewTek are joining forces and will operate under the Vizrt name.

Through the unified ecosystem of products, all partners gain access to the entire portfolio to support them in offering new solutions and growing their businesses. Partners can certify as experts through Vizrt’s learning platform Viz University with new courses on studio, graphics, automation, live production, and cloud.

To better meet the needs of end-users and customers, Vizrt will extend its product portfolio and launch a new entry-level video production system for streamers and content creators, and new cloud live production systems.

Vizrt’s goal is to support anyone creating content with the best storytelling solutions and a scalable portfolio of products, whether an individual, an educational institution, a corporate enterprise, a world-class broadcaster, or anything in between.

NDI will remain a standalone brand, but supported by Vizrt as a key partner.

Vizrt is privately owned by Nordic Capital; its board and leadership team remain unchanged.
