At Noon Central on Monday, June 12, Audacy Inc. concluded Hot Adult Contemporary programming on WMC-FM 99.7 in Memphis.
The station is now “99.7 The Wolf,” as the former “FM100” became a victim of Audacy’s decision to sell The Wolf’s former home, WLFP-FM 94.1 in Germantown, Tenn., to Educational Media Foundation.
Former “FM100” listeners are being directed to Audacy’s WRVR “104.5 The River,” where former longtime WMC-FM air personality Ron Olson has been the morning co-host for five years.
Here’s what the end of “FM100” sounded like; a brief pause can be heard due to buffering of the WMC-FM audio stream on the Audacy app.
