From May 2018 through January 2023, she held a “sales acceleration” role at the company and was based in Chicago. Now, this radio advertising sales professional is back at Audacy Inc., and has accepted the role of Manager of Government and Political Partnerships.
Taking the position is Suzanne M Carroll, who was most recently General Sales Manager of Federated Media-owned WMEE-FM 97.3 and WQHK-FM 105.1 in the Fort Wayne, Ind., market.
Carroll’s first experience at Audacy came following its tax-free merger with CBS Radio, under former longtime company name Entercom. She served as Local Sales Manager for Entercom/Chicago, following 5 1/2 years as a sales executive for WBBM-AM & WCFS-FM in Chicago, the all-News operation formerly owned by CBS Radio. She took that role in September 2017.
Carroll exited Audacy in early 2023, taking a job as GSM of Beasley Media Group’s Charlotte stations. She departed that role in mid-April 2025 for the Federated post, which has proven to be short-lived.
Carroll first entered the radio business with Entercom, as a sales leader, in the late 1990s, working in such markets as Norfolk and Buffalo. She would later serve as National Sales Manager for CBS Radio in Baltimore (2004-2009), ahead of a relocation to Chicago.
