It was first revealed to the radio industry in an InFOCUS Podcast interview with Skyview Networks Chairman and President/CEO Steve Jones on April 9.
Now, with the 2026 NAB Show quickly approaching, Skyview Networks is officially moving forward with the launch of a new cloud-native, broadcast-grade audio distribution platform.
Introducing Cirocast, which is designed to give broadcasters a new way to increase revenue as companies invest in the modernization of their operations by shifting distribution to the cloud.
The product launch from Skyview comes as C-band satellite changes are taking shape. This, the company explains, is pushing broadcasters to transition from satellite-based distribution to IP solutions.
“Cirocast delivers broadcast-quality audio over IP with the low-latency performance required for live and linear programming,” Skyview says. “Fully mixed, market-specific audio feeds are assembled in the cloud before delivery, moving ad targeting, copy splits and content personalization upstream. This approach allows broadcasters to unlock new revenue from programming that connects directly to virtualized environments, cloud-based automation systems or affordable on-premises infrastructure.”
Commenting on the launch, Skyview Networks Sr. VP of Technology Aaron Mellis notes, “We built Cirocast because the economics of broadcast distribution are shifting and networks deserve a platform that takes advantage of this transition. For years, broadcasters have been asked to accept tradeoffs between reliability, flexibility and revenue. Cirocast challenges that thinking by delivering the operational confidence broadcasters expect while unlocking the flexibility and monetization opportunities of cloud-based workflows. With built-in ad insertion and copy split capabilities, distribution becomes a strategic revenue platform rather than a fixed cost.”
