A Beasley ‘Coyote’ Talent Ready For A Wider Orbit

When it comes to the future of live broadcasting, Beasley Media Group is hyperfocused on how “innovative technologies that enhance content delivery and operational flexibility” can help make linear audio delivery vehicles such as the good ‘ol AM/FM radio tuner future proof.

That’s why the publicly traded radio station owner is teaming up with WideOrbit by placing the Program Director and midday host of a Las Vegas Country station in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center for two days during the 2026 NAB Show. There, he’ll broadcast live to engage in an on-site product activation.

It’s perhaps a unusual big stage for Shawn Stevens, who will appear at the WideOrbit booth in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center on Monday (4/20) and Tuesday (4/21) from Noon-3pm Pacific, hosting his regular shift from the booth. It will see Stevens use WO Aurora’s browser-based Web Studio interface, allowing him to control the broadcasts of KCYE-FM “102.7 Coyote Country” in Las Vegas remotely, along with the platform’s “Live Mic” feature to deliver real-time, on-site programming.

“This is a great example of how we’re continuing to evolve as a company and embrace tools that help us work smarter and connect with audiences in new ways,” said Lamar Smith, VP of Engineering at Beasley Media Group. “What makes this especially exciting is the ability to integrate new technology with our existing systems, giving us the flexibility to innovate while maintaining consistency across our markets.”

The WideOrbit booth will be in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, in space C3038.
