Its broadcast properties include such CBS affiliates as WPEC-12 in West Palm Beach.
And, that affiliation — along with those for 12 other stations — won’t be changing anytime soon.

Sinclair Broadcast Group has renewed its affiliation agreements for 13 CBS network affiliates, reaching multi-year pacts with ViacomCBS.
The stations include four Top 50 market affiliates: WPEC, along with WKRC-12 in Cincinnati, WWMT-3 in Grand Rapids and WHP-21 in Harrisburg-York, Pa.
Also included: WRGB-6 in Albany-Schenectady-Troy; KBAK-29 in Bakersfield; KFDM-6 in Beaumont, Tex.; KBOI-2 in Boise, Idaho; KDBC-4 in El Paso; KVAL-13 in Eugene, Ore. (plus satellite KPIC-4 in Roseburg, Ore.); KTVL-10 in Medford, Ore.; shared services partner KMEG-14 in Sioux City, Iowa; and KIMA-29 in Yakima, Wash.
The 13 markets combined reach about 5% of the U.S. audience serving nearly six million television households.
It’s an early renewal — a move that erases any questions on whether Sinclair, a company known for expressing conservative views in its newscasts, would seek to strip any of its stations of affiliation with CBS, considered by some to be among the more liberal of news organizations.
But, it does not include all of Sinclair’s CBS stations — 10 other stations are affiliates. This suggests discussions are ongoing, with a timely renewal expected at a later date.
“We are pleased to have reached an agreement with Sinclair that covers several early renewals,” said Ray Hopkins, President of U.S. Networks Distribution at ViacomCBS. “We look forward to providing our best-in-class news, sports and entertainment programming to millions of households in Sinclair markets through our valued and long-standing partnership.”
Not included in the early renewal: KEYE-TV in Austin; KGAN-2 in Cedar Rapids-Waterloo-Dubuque, Iowa; KRCG-13 in Columbia-Jefferson City, Mo.; WGFL-4 in Gainesville-Ocala, Fla.; KGBT-4 in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas; WGME-13 in Portland, Me.; KHQA-7 in Quincy, Ill.; KUTV-2 in Salt Lake City; and KLEW-3 in Spokane.
